Dallas, TX:  CEO and Founder of Skyven Technologies (www.skyven.co), Dr. Arun Gupta, was selected as a Fellow of the Wild Gift Program on Climate Change. Dr. Gupta is a member of Wild Gift’s inaugural Climate Change Collective, which is focused on entrepreneurs taking action against climate change.

Dr. Gupta founded Skyven Technologies to pioneer a solar collector platform that harvests the sun’s energy better than other traditional methods. Before founding Skyven, Dr. Gupta spent seven years at Texas Instruments in various R&D related positions.

“I’m honored to be awarded the Wild Gift Climate Change Fellowship. The Wild Gift family takes an exciting approach to fight climate change by bringing together entrepreneurs and professionals to help each other, share experiences and have collective learning.”  Dr. Gupta says. “I’m looking forward to learning from the experiences of the Wild Gift mentors and Fellows.”

The goal at Skyven is to:

  • Drive down the cost of solar energy by enabling a highly efficient solar harvest. When compared to traditional technologies, Skyven’s technology generally doubles efficiency while holding overall cost constant, resulting in a 50% reduction in the Levelized cost of energy (LCOE).
  • Better harness the sunlight. Traditional solar panels today waste 80% of the sun’s energy, and even at their theoretical best, they will still waste 67%. Skyven cuts that loss in half.
