Visalia, CA, May 3, 2019 – Skyven Technologies, Inc. has signed an agreement with California Dairies Inc. (CDI) to install the world’s largest rooftop-mounted Intelligent Mirror Array (IMA™) system at the CDI plant in Visalia, CA.  The system will reduce local air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions by 436 metric tons of CO2 annually.

As one of the nation’s leading dairy co-ops, with seven dairy processing facilities in California, CDI is setting a best practice example for fuel-less heat solutions in the food and beverage industry. CDI will deploy 2,000 cutting-edge IMA collectors, which capture heat from the sun and inject that heat into the plant’s boilers, reducing the need for burning natural gas.

The project is supported by the California Energy Commission Food Production Investment Program with the goal to accelerate the adoption of state-of-the-art energy technologies that can substantially reduce energy use and costs and the associated GHG emissions.

“Sustainability is at the heart of our business, not just because it is the right thing to do, but because there are clear business benefits,” said Darrin Monteiro, Director of Government Relations at CDI. “Our project with Skyven is going to save the company money on fuel and reduce our CO2 emissions”.

“CDI is an amazing partner to work with,” said Arun Gupta, CEO of Skyven Technologies. “This project proves that sustainable business practices and innovative solutions pay off and benefit, both the industrial sector and society.”
